A tour of the new temple was our objective, but we also made it around to a few other priorities. Liberty jail. Lawrence for breakfast at Wheatfields (then bread and macaroons to bring home), the toy store for fun stuff (obviously), and Sarah's fabrics to indulge my appetite for hard-to-find designer quilt fabrics (an almost out-of-body experience to be sure). Then we zoomed to the Deanna Rose Farm, because K.C. isn't K.C. without goats somehow. Oklahoma Joe's, Mi Ranchito and lots of swimming in the hotel pool to keep the little people happy. Church with our old ward and quick hellos with lots of old friends. A whirlwind trip to be sure, but worthwhile and hopefully good memories for the little people. The temple was last before heading home. So beautiful. I got a little emotional seeing the spires above the tree-line as we approached from the interstate. Bub's favorite thing about the temple? The 'bootiful trash cans'. And they were beautiful, actually, but still, the trash cans? Really?
